Will there be more boxes in the future?
YES! We have ideas for over a dozen boxes, but are hoping to release them three at a time every several months. If you want to peek at the skills we have planned for the next set of three, go to Ren's Workshop and scroll down to see what's coming soon...
Is it only designed for Christian families?
The short answer is no, anyone can use these boxes and enjoy learning new skills.
The longer answer is we are Christians, so glimpses of our worldview will poke through at various times in the stories, as we explain pieces of who The Maker is and how we have been gifted with His creativity.
Will I need to help my child?
Depending on the age of your child, they will most likely need your help. This is a quality, artisan skills box so the process can include a stovetop, using an Exacto knife (we've included a safety glove), using a blender, etc. If you have a teenager, they could likely complete it themselves, but any other age will need supervision and help.
Can I just buy one box or do I have to buy them all in order?
It's up to you! We've tried to create each box, so that it can stand alone. But there are certainly benefits and exciting perks to receiving the boxes in order. Your child will be invited into the adventure of The Maker's Quest, receiving their own personalized scrolls from The Maker himself.
Will I need to buy additional products to complete the skill?
No, we have conducted many tests and experiments with our products to ensure that you should not have to make any additional purchases for your child to learn these skills. In our store, we also offer additional product if your child develops a passion for a particular craft and they want to continue to develop that skill.
What age range are these boxes designed for?
We believe that these boxes will be enjoyed by children from 6-14 years old. But we know that you, as the parent, know your child best. For those younger ones, more parental supervision and assistance will be necessary to complete the skills.
How long will it take to complete a box?
Depending on the child's age and the way you want to use it, it could take you one day to complete everything in the box or you could take your time and spread it out over a couple weeks.
Are these boxes made for girls or boys?
Both! Some skills may be more overtly "feminine" like embroidery or "masculine" like leather working or rope making. But we believe that these skills are beneficial AND exciting for both girls and boys to learn!
